Natalie has discovered Webkinz and it has become her favorite thing to do, to say the least. I've had to help her figure it all out on the computer so I definitely feel that I'm in-the-Webkinz-know now. The first thing she wants to do when she wakes up is get online and feed her pets, give them baths, brush their teeth and earn some KinzCash and the last thing she wants to do at night is feed them dinner and tuck them into bed. This is obviously a fad but who ever thought it up has got to be rolling in money (goody for them).Natalie got her first Webkinz at a birthday party for her friend, Devan. They sent all the guests home with a Lil'Kinz and Natalie got a Lil'Pug that she named Snuffy (so, Snuffy indeed lives on). She got some money for her birthday from her Mimi & Poppi so she went to Chelsea Lane and picked out a Lil'Pig that she named Jiggles and a Golden Retriever that she named Peanut. They were so nice there and evidently do this Webkinz-rubber-ducky-thing where you get to grab a rubber ducky out of the tub of water and some of them have a number on the bottom that indicates you've won a certain prize. Since Natalie bought two Webkinz, she got two tries and the first time she won a Webkinz mousepad. The second time, she won a Webkinz body spray. Each of those prizes comes with a Webkinz code so that just made her day.
Natalie always wants to get on the computer but it's hard for me to sit there with her and walk her through every step of whatever she wants to do and show her how to do everything and then she only gets aggravated because what she's trying to do is too hard for her. But the Webkinz thing is so user-friendly for kids and she can pretty much do it on her own, with just the occasional help or answer from me. Plus a lot of the games and quizzes she does on it are very educational. Needless to say, we've succumbed to the Webkinz-craze.
