Au revoir until next year, Emily the elf.

Natalie's elf, Emily, went back to the North Pole with Santa on Christmas Eve but she kept us busy before she left...

She surprised Natalie one morning with a Pepper ornament she made:

Natalie found her elf with crayons scattered everywhere one morning. Emily had drawn herself a coloring page and was right in the middle of coloring it:

 

She made Natalie a big heart on the couch out of mini-pretzels:

She smuggled in a Christmas treat for Natalie and somehow got tangled up in the chair legs under the table:

Emily made a fake campfire out of sticks and Natalie found her sitting on some sticks watching the fire with two puppies and a bobblehead Einstein:

She made a huge mess at Pap's house one night so this must have been her way of apologizing the next day. She surprised her with the Santa Buddies DVD Natalie has been wanting to see:

One morning, Natalie could not find Emily but found a note saying she could find her somewhere that is cold (note on left below). She found her in the freezer holding a rolled up paper tied with a ribbon. It was a special word search made just for Natalie:

Not only did Emily make a big mess at Pap's house, she also made a mess at Aunt Lauren and Uncle Dan's house and at Aunt Karin and Uncle John's house. When Natalie stayed with Matt and Zach, Emily made a huge mess and threw stuff all over the room. She also threw stuff from Matt's book bag everywhere and they found her laying on top of his bag:

When Natalie stayed with Jaxon and Alex, Emily stacked cans from the kitchen on top of the table, threw candy canes on the floor and hung everyone's stockings on the tree. They found her sitting on top of the cans with a personalized snowman ornament for Natalie:

Emily's last big mess before heading back to the North Pole... She dumped shampoo and lotion and paint in the bath tub and made a huge mess. Matt, Zach, Alex & Jaxon had slept over the night before with Natalie so they were all here to find Emily hanging over the tub admiring her 'creation' the morning of Christmas Eve.

Emily got into lots of other mischief while she was here. Natalie is already looking forward to her coming back next year. Here is Natalie saying goodbye to her elf on Christmas Eve:
