Coco & Kids Visit

Wow, it has been busy. Natalie has had some kind of stomach bug this past week and threw up at school Tuesday and had to be checked out but never ran a fever and didn't throw up again until Friday at school when I had to go check her out again because she had gotten sick right after getting there that morning- still never ran a fever and was fine all day yesterday. She was very sleepy though. She slept all afternoon from 2:30 until 7:30, then went back to sleep at 11:30 and slept until 10:00 this morning. I think she was just wiped out from our schedule the past couple of weeks. But that was twice this week that I have had to leave work unexpectedly when I really need to be there.

Natalie's big Cheerleading Competition is tomorrow! They have been practicing like crazy! Natalie is very excited but is very nervous. It is in Vestavia so thankfully, not very far. We'll be there from about 2:00-6:00 so we will miss Jaxon and Alex's birthday party tomorrow which is also at 2:00- we're both so disappointed we won't be there to celebrate the twins turning 4 but we plan to go see them tomorrow night or early next week. Since Natalie has been sick off and on this week, and as recently as yesterday, I did not let her go to her game this morning in Ashville. I did not want her to push herself too hard and get sick again. So she has been able to rest and take it easy today and recuperate so she'll be 100% tomorrow. I know both Chelsea sophomore teams (Blue and White) won their play-off games today so it looks like we'll be playing each other next weekend for the big season-ender play-off game. Surely that means they will move the game from Tri-County to Chelsea!!

Back to the past couple of weeks... Natalie's Aunt Coco (Nick's little sister, Courtney) drove down from NC and has been in town for the past week. She and the kids (Elijah, Joseph and Berea) stayed with us a few nights and her friend Becca came up from South Alabama to visit with her last weekend and stayed with us too. So we had a full house but it was great spending time with them. Natalie is very close with Courtney and the kids and loved having them here!

April and Cole (Nick's cousin and her son) have been in town from IL and staying with her mom (Nick's Aunt Ginger, who you've probably heard Natalie refer to as "Gigi"). They have always been super-close with Natalie and April always spends time with Natalie when she is in town. They picked up Natalie from school twice last week and she went to church with them last Wednesday night. Natalie went to a skate party last Friday night and hurt her foot- split the side of it open and rubbed a big gash into her ankle... She was limping and couldn't wear tennis shoes for a couple of days so she missed her game last Saturday. Saturday night, she went to the annual "Weenie Roast" Nick's family has and went to church with them Sunday morning and Bible Study Sunday night. Tuesday night was their Harmony Hornets (the choir) Veterans Day Performance at the school. Afterwards she went to a birthday party at Pap's for Elijah, Joseph and Berea. Jordan and Ashlyn (Nick's cousin Cassie's kids) spent the night that night too so we had 6 kids here! The kids were out of school Wednesday for Veterans Day so Courtney kept all 6 kids while I was at work. Wednesday was also Nick's 30th birthday.

Natalie has a big day tomorrow! Wish her luck!

Here are some pictures we took last weekend of Courtney and the kids and there are more in the album.
